Information/Instructional Design

Definition: This is the development of instructional specifications using learning/education and theories of instruction to effectively communicate instruction. It is a process of analysing learning needs and goals and moulding an appropriate system to meet those learning requirements of the user.

The Turbo chef website is full interactive and teaches the veiwer how to use the product in an engaging way. The veiw has the option to learn how to cook food with the product with the assistance of a chef instructor. The user is also able to pull apart the oven to examine the features and how they work.

This is a instructional learning game for children. The user follows a set of instructions on how to play and learns about biology and the environment. The design is simplistic and colourful to engage with the child user.




Wii Fit Game
















Wii Fit is a good example of instructional design. It directs the user how to do exercises through a set of steps and a visual demonstration. The program acts as a personal trainer giving them advice on their indivdual fitness level.
